The Rome Quadriennale has reach his 15th edition. This is the most important italian exhibition dedicated to the new tendencies of contemporary art. This year the Quadriennale is returning to its historic seat, the Palazzo delle Esposizioni, where it will be held from June 19th until September 14th. It will be the only exhibition on the summer 2008 calendar.
This edition looks at the future: about one hundred artists are presenting their works, showing where the art “Made in Italy” is going and helping to understand the significant changings in visual art. The exhibition is centred on young emerging artists that are presenting a perspective over experiences and artistic researches of the last twenty years.
The exhibition walk is developped in all the 3000 square meters of the Palace in via Nazionale. This space offers to visitors an opportunity for a stimulating exploration of contemporary creativity, ranging from traditional genres - drawing, painting, sculpture - to photography and video projections, including innovative installations and settings that involve the visiting public. The organization had to consider the need to offer a balanced presentation of works that are very different one from the other and very large in size.
