Until January 6 the “Sala del Bramante” in Rome is going to host “100 Creches Exhibition“.
Every year, with Christmas festivity, the fascination and the tradition of creche revive, as genuine element of Christmas celebration, in different places as habitations, schools, churchs and offices.
Since 1976 “100 Creches Exhibition” exposes more than 200 creches, coming from Italy and other 25 countries of every continent. People can admire classical Neapolitan creches from 1600, Roman creches from 1800, figurines realized with precious metal or rejected materials, man-height figurines or miniatures. There are different works, but these pieces have as common point the values of peace and brotherhood spread by Christ’s Nativity.
The exhibition is accompanied by an interessant Workshop for children from 4 to 11 years, that personally realize a figurine of creche with the guidance of specialized staff.
The exhibition is opened from Monday to Sunday from 9,30 a.m. to 8p.m. (until 10 p.m. on December 25, 26, 27 and on January 3,4,5). The full entrance is 4,50 € (5 € on Saturdays, Sundays or public holiday).
