De Chirico and metaphysics painting: exhibition in Rome

Until January 25 the National Gallery of Modern Art is going to host the exhibition “Giorgio de Chirico and Greece. A journey through memory”, organized by “Giorgio and Isa De Chirico Institute”.
This artistic event in Rome exposes more than 100 artworks realized by Giorgio De Chirico, the most important exponent of metaphysics painting, in occasion of the anniversary of 30 years by his death.
The influences of the classical world and an innovative pictorial language melt to create a final work that is not a simple imitation, but it is an imaginative reinterpretation. So the paintings ispired by Michelangelo, Tintoretto and Rubens are eleborated in metaphysics sense, with the contemporaneus presence of myhological theme and classical figures.
The exhibition, organized in six sections, is opened by Tuesday to Sunday from 8,30 a.m. to 7,30 p.m. The full entrance is 9 €.
