From the 20th of February to the 24th of May 2009 the Scuderie del Quirinale, in cooperation with the Musée National d’Art Moderne/Centre Georges Pompidou of Paris and the Tate Modern Gallery of London, are going to host an exhibition about Futurism, on the occasion of the hundreth anniverary of the Futurist Manifesto publication.
The Futurist Manifesto was born during the first years of the last century and it was founded by the idea of “movement”, due to the modern society dynamics and the construction of new engines that disarranged the old rules, in real life and art.
The exhibition about Futurism in Rome is going to show you a lot of Futurist masterpieces, such as:
- Le grand nu by Georges Braque,
- la Femme assise dans un fauteuil by Picasso,
- Costruzione orizzontale by Umberto Boccioni
and then Galli, Carlo Carrà, Luigi Russolo, Francis Picabia, Sonia and Robert Delaunay, Gino Severini, Frantisek Kupka, Fernand Leger, Michel Larionov, from the most relevant international museums.
In order to spend some days in Rome to enjoy the wonders of the city and without missing the amasing exhibiton about Futurist artist at Scuderie del Quirinale, book a hotel in Rome: the eternal city knows very well how to shock you!
