52° World Press Photo 2009 in Rome

From 8th May to 28th May 2009, at Rome Museum in Trastevere in S. Egidio Square, will take place the 52° World Press Photo 2009.
This exhibition is a great occasion in which everybody will see the best pictures about the world events of the last year.
The applications of attendance have been sent from photographers, agencies and magazines to the World Press Photo Foundation of Amsterdam, an international photo-journalism institution born in 1955.
The international jury of this 52° World Press Photo has chosen, as Best Photo of 2008, the picture of the american photographer Anthony Suau. This photo is emblematic and it is the symbol of american slump. It shows an armed sceriff who enters in a house in Cleveland, in Ohio, to check the evicted tenants have really left the house. 
The exhibition will be open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10.00 to 20.00. The tickets cost from € 4,00 to € 5,5.
