From 21st April to 4th September, in Anfiteatro Flavio and in the Curia in Rome, will take palce the exhibition “Divus Vespasianus” to celebrate 2000 years from the birth of the famous Vespasiano emperor. The big exhibition will finish on the Campidoglio.

The exhibition, created by Filippo Coarelli, shows the imposing creations realized by Vespasiano on the Campidoglio during the Flavi period, such as Giove Capitolino temple and Iside temple.

In the center of the exhibition there is the Egypt, which reaches an important role for the emperor and his sons, very devout to the oriental divinities.

In particular, you could admire the Campo Marzio, the biggest and famous roman sanctuary dedicated to egyptians, rebuilded thanks to Domiziano of Iseo. The looks are captured by the big images painted on the wonderful and rare coloured marbles, which decorated this sacred espace.

Among those exposed prestigoius operas, you could appreciate the Triade Capitolina, famous sculpture which recalls the roman divinities adored in the beautiful Giove temple. Moreover you will admire the preciosu inscription which explains the birth of  Iside temple on Campidoglio. With those works you could notice the little statues made on grey granite found from the excavation for the rebuilding of  Vittoriano.
Finally among those ancient sculputers, will be remember the marvellous Iside head dressed up as the egyptian goddess of Iseo of the third region.

It is a very interesting exhibition to came back in the roman history.
