30th edition of the Golden Gala in Rome

The Olympic Stadium in Rome returns to host international athletics stars: on June 10 2010, during the 30th edition of the Golden Gala, the greatest worldwide athletes will compete at the most prestigious stadium in the Italian capital.
The Golden Gala, international athletics meeting, is the fourth leg of the Diamond League IAAF, a world tour of meetings.
There will be an extraordinary cast of stars: Kenenisa Bekele (world record-holder in the middle distance), Blanka Vlasic (twice world champion in the high jump) and, among Italians, Andrew Howe and Antonietta Di Martino.
The Olympic Stadium, which hosts the Golden Gala, will be reconfigured for this event, through the creation of a new track and a better distribution of the spectators, who can follow the competition closer to the track.
This edition of Golden Gala is included in the “Week of athletics”, along with two other events in Rome.
Golden Gala 2010 will give the audience an evening of great sport and strong emotions.
