2010 Edition of Roma Tango Meeting at Salone delle Fontane in Rome

From the 24th of June to the 27th at Salone delle Fontane in Rome starts again Roma Tango Meeting, the tango festival with world famous artists.
The festival is organized by Tango in Progress with the aim of creating a unique program, and define the future direction of the Argentine tango.
For four days spectacles and performances will be improvised by legendary performers, including couples Mariano “Chicho” Frumboli and Juana Sepulveda Sebastian Arce and Mariana Montes, Fabian Salas and Lola Diaz and Celine Ruiz and Damian Rosenthal.
There will be two orchestras that accompany the dancers: Trio of Sombra and Ensemble Hyperion. Each evening will be marked by a different selection of music that will trace the history of tango from the 40s, up to the electronic music of today, selected by DJs.
The opening night will be there the singer Sandra Rumolino, while the 25th will perform the singer Ruben Peloni.
The Salone delle Fontane of Rome will be trasformed in a milonga for four nights, from 22.00 until the dawn. Thousands of dancers from around the world will meet again at the festival to dance, to learn and to exchange ideas.
The festival is not in fact addressed only to professional dancers but also for those who want to learn this fascinating dance. Are in fact organized courses of 18 hours a day divided into 4 different styles: Tango Salon, Tango from Scenario, Milonghero Tango or Tango Nuevo.
Roma Tango Meeting is not only dance but also exhibitions of paintings, drawings, and books of emerging artists relating to argentine tango .
