Until March 8 Capitoline Museums in Rome are going to host the exhibition “The conquest of modernity -  Sevres 1920/2008“, organised by City of Rome in collaboration with International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza.

This artistic event in Rome explains the remarkable variety of artistic creation of Sevres, one of the most important manifacture of porcelain in Europe, that from its establishment in 1756 was served by optimum ceramicists. More than 100 works (porcelains and drawings) are exposed. These works range from Art  Deco to artists as  Louise Bourgeois, Alexander Calder e Richard Peduzzi.

The exhibition is opened from Tuesday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; the integrated ticket (8 €) provides entry to the Capitoline Museums and the exhibition.

Until May 30 at Lyrical Flaiano Theatre in Rome will be performed   “Tosca” and “Madama Butterfly” by lyrical composer Giacomo Puccini.

In occasion of 150 years from Giacomo Puccini’s birth, Piccola Lirica organizes 140 replicas of the new exhibition of Tosca and Madama Butterfly, that are two great classics, two complete lyrical plays, with the possibility to stay very closed to the actors.

Until January 11 at Brancaccio Theatre in Rome will be performed Italian edition of the famous international Disney success “High School Musical“.

The play is directed by Saverio Marconi and Federico Bellone; it is performed by “Compagnia della Rancia”, the first official production of Disney musical in Italy. The play is the transposition of the film of Disney Channel, with original music and two unpublished pieces for Italian edition. The skill of young actors, the choreography and songs (6 of 12 won Golden Disc)  assure for the success of the performance.

From January 1 to 4 at Argentina Theatre in Rome will be performed the play “Romeo and Juliet“, realized by National Foundation of Dance - Aterballetto.

Romeo and Juliet’s story surpassed every national border and is suggested again  in contemporary key, with a very technological scenic setting. This play was  conceived by Mauro Bigonzetti and Fabrizio Plessi, with Prokovieff’s music.
