From the 22nd to the 31st October Rome is going to host the International Film Festival.

This event, one of the best Italian Film Festivals, improves Italian movies reputation among the international audience.

The Rome International Film Festival is going to take place into the Italian famous architect Renzo Piano’s Auditorium Parco della Musica and “Villaggio del Cinema“, a “Cinema town” prepared for this occasion only into the Parioli quarter, very close to the river Tever: an amazing location for an amazing show.

Into Cinema 2008 and Anteprima-Première sections you will find the most relevant International film premières, while Maria Sole Tognazzi’s “L’uomo che ama” (starring Monica Bellucci and Pierfrancesco Favino), and “L’ultimo Pulcinella” (interpreted by the Italian singer Massimo Ranieri) are going to introduce and close the Festival.

Amongs all the films, we would like to point out Saul Dibb’s The Duchess, with the gorgeous Keira Knightley, and Kenny Ortega’s High School Musical 3 interpreted by all the teenagers’ idol Zac Efron.

The Rome International Film Festival is full of exhibitions, meetings, debates, screening, but there will be also the moment to give some awards:

The first Golden Marc’Aurelio career award will be given to Al Pacino, one of Actors Studio presidents, while the second one will be given to Gina Lollobrigida, who spent more than 70 years of her life into the movie business.

Every year, a lot of famous international stars walk on the Roman Film Festival Red Carpet, on 2007 Cate Blanchett, Sean Penn, Francis Ford Coppola and Halle Berry attracted all the paparazzi’s attention.
