Until January 6 the “Braccio di Carlo Magno” in Vatican is going to host the exhibition “Pius XII- The man and his papacy“, organized for the anniversary of 50 years from the death of Pope Pius XII.
The exhibition is divided in nine sections, analysing the Eugenio Pacelli’s whole figure, not only regarding his famous papacy but also some of the lesser known aspects. It underlines his childhood, his family, his cultural and spiritual growth, his ordination as a priest and his long service for the Holy See, as apostolic nuncio, Vatican Secretary of State and Pope from 1939, with the beginning of the Second World War.
