13th annual Easter Festival of Rome

From March 28 to April 4, Rome offers, throughout the period of Holy Week, Easter Festival, the prestigious event of sacred music, created by Italian director Enrico Castiglione.
Like every year, the Easter Festival offers a packed calendar full of concerts and events of international prestige that made Rome the undisputed world capital of sacred music.
The theme of this 13th edition of the event is “The image of the sacred”, connected to the exhibition of Caravaggio’s art, in progress in Rome during the four hundredth anniversary of the death.
Also this year will play on stage Easter Festival world-renowned artists, the voices most credible in the industry. Will be offered a musical turn of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, from Gregorian chant and polyphony of the Baroque period, with tributes to the greatest composers of sacred repertoire as Antonio Vivaldi and Mozart.
The Rome Film Festival suggests, during Holy Week, the best of sacred music of all time, performed strongly suggestive contexts: the Santi Apostoli, Santa Sabina, San Clemente, San Lorenzo outside the walls, outside Santa Maria Minerva, St. John and Paul and many others.
