Until January 25 the National Gallery of Modern Art is going to host the exhibition “Giorgio de Chirico and Greece. A journey through memory”, organized by “Giorgio and Isa De Chirico Institute”.
This artistic event in Rome exposes more than 100 artworks realized by Giorgio De Chirico, the most important exponent of metaphysics painting, in occasion of the anniversary of 30 years by his death.
The influences of the classical world and an innovative pictorial language melt to create a final work that is not a simple imitation, but it is an imaginative reinterpretation. So the paintings ispired by Michelangelo, Tintoretto and Rubens are eleborated in metaphysics sense, with the contemporaneus presence of myhological theme and classical figures.
The exhibition, organized in six sections, is opened by Tuesday to Sunday from 8,30 a.m. to 7,30 p.m. The full entrance is 9 €.

Through the technologies of Studio Azzurro, there are free figures in the space (as they were musicians in air without gravity) that are moved by the public with a special sensitive wand. In the second room, three interactive stations permict the visitor to deepen the history of the orcherstra through a virtual tour in multi-media file of Accademia.

Until November 30 the “Auditorium Parco della Musica” is going to host the 32th edition of Roma Jazz Festival, organized by “Accademia Santa Cecilia”, “Casa del Jazz” and “Goethe Institut”.
This traditional musical event has projected Rome as Italian capital city of jazz, with one of the most important festival in Europe (more than 200 artists).
The section “Focus Orchestras” refers to historical jazz orchestras from 1940 to the present. “Events” is a part dedicated to musical events of national and international jazz in the last 50 years. To complete the festival there will be four concerts, presented for the first time in Italy: Terez Montcalm, Yael Naim, Chiciro Yamanaka and the couple composed by Paolo Fresu and Ralph Towner.

The exhibition “Luciano Pavarotti - L’uomo che emozionò il mondo” in Rome explores 40 years of the artist’s career, observing also a lot of private aspects in Luciano Pavarotti ’s life, as his passion for painting and horseback riding.
The exhibition is composed by 29 Pavarotti’s paintings, enriched by covers of disks, posters, cd, prizes, costumes e some letters received by Lady Diana, Frank Sinatra, Kofi Annan and other famous people. Some videos of the artist flow on a big screen, with the sound of the most famous singer’s executions.
